Shailaja Potdar, M.D.
Shailaja Potdar is a Pediatrician with many years of experience taking care of infants, toddlers, and adolescents. She received her medical degree from B.J. Medical College in Pune, India. She then completed her residency at Brookdale Hospital Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. She has extensive experience in managing both inpatient and outpatient settings. Prior to her arrival in the Syracuse area in 2011, Dr. Potdar served as an Attending Physician at Brookhaven Memorial Hospital where she worked in the Nursery, attended to emergency C-sections, and regularly saw patients in the clinics. She was also involved in training family practice residents. She has received multiple awards and recognition including the "Star Award" for successfully reviving an infant in cardiac arrest, a recognition from the Mayor of Pune for "service to the underserved population". She also received the "Dedicated Service Award" at Brookhaven Hospital for her many years of service to that community.
